City of Johns Creek purchases more greenspace to add to park network
June 20, 2017
The Johns Creek City Council authorized the Mayor to execute a purchase and sale agreement for approximately 58 acres of land to be used as park land. The property is strategically located along the Chattahoochee River between the recently purchased Cauley Creek property and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

| Central Planning Business District |
The City, working with a team led by Urban Design Associates, is developing a master plan to transform a 728-acre area centered around Technology Park into a world-class new central business district for Johns Creek ("The District").
"We're looking at The District as a blank slate," said Mayor Mike Bodker. "We want people to tell us what we need in Johns Creek. This is a major, long-term project, and now is the time for people to jump in and help us shape what it's going to look like. Input may be general or specific. At this point, there are no bad ideas. We want to hear them all."
