Steve Broadbent Campaigning for City Council |
I am campaigning for the open seat on the Johns Creek City Council. The election on November 8th offers us a choice in the quality of leadership on Johns Creek City Council. I am the only candidate with leadership experiences that span the military, large corporations, Federal government, and as an owner of a small business.

To my neighbors in Johns Creek:
Johns Creek has made significant gains in the five years since its founding. We have great schools, a thriving small business community, and a variety of arts and recreational opportunities. Similar to many cities across America, Johns Creek also faces a number of challenges. The recession has caused a decrease in property assessments and, as a result, tax revenues are falling. However, the costs of providing the critical city services have not changed. The continued success of Johns Creek is dependent on maintaining a limited, but efficient city government. We need to properly balance the outsourcing of services versus those services provided by city employees. Finally, we need to ensure a continuing investment in our infrastructure of roads, bridges, and green space.
No one is more capable of taking on complex problems than me. Since my days in college as a nuclear engineering student, I have been taught how to tackle the most complex of problems. This knowledge, along with leadership skills honed in the Navy, AT&T, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, makes me uniquely qualified to lead Johns Creek in the critical issues facing the city.
I am an advocate of the values upon which our great nation was founded, including a limited government, local control, free enterprise, and fiscally conservative economics. We should all be able to live in a safe and secure community where opportunities and prosperity are allowed to flourish. These opportunities should only be limited by the talent and hard work that we apply to them.
The election on November 8th offers us a choice in the quality of leadership on Johns Creek City Council. While I urge you to get to know my opponents in this race, I am the only candidate with leadership experiences that span the military, large corporations, Federal government, and as an owner of a small business. We must all ensure we elect the best people that will move Georgia, Fulton County, and Johns Creek forward.
I thank you for this opportunity to earn your support and your vote as we approach the November election. I look forward to getting your feedback and hearing from you about the issues you consider most important.
Sincerely,
Steve Broadbent
