Usually around the time of April, spring break is often the perfect time to travel, especially to Florida's sunny beaches. While younger children stay with their families, thousands of high school and college students flock to popular beaches to join up with peers and friends.
Often un-supervised, these armies of kids are infamous for their drunkenly, rowdy behavior.
While some less popular destinations are available, most people flock to Florida for its year-round warm weather and wide sandy beaches. Popular beaches include Panama City Beach and Destin. With mostly younger crowds, the older, collegiate masses tend to migrate further south to the party capital of the US, Miami Beach. The downside of all the fun and sun is the transportation chaos it causes on the highway and in the airport. Planes are often overbooked while lines wrap hallways. 9 hour trips to Florida become 12 hours as everyone in the nations tries to cram their packed cars into the interstate, creating bumper to bumper traffic and a fair share of accidents.
